Sons of Texas a été formé à McAllen, Texas en 2011. Peu de temps après, le groupe a été signé chez Razor & Tie et est entré en studio avec le producteur Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, All That Remains, Hatebreed). Le groupe a sorti son premier album Baptized In The Rio Grande le 3 mars 2015 en version numérique et physique. Les texans annoncent à présent leur second opus « Forged by fortitude » le 22 septembre prochain chez Razor & Tie.
